    1. 1. Review the clinical evidence and ISBD task force recommendations on maintenance lithium treatment in older adults with bipolar disorder;
    2. Examine the literature and laboratory practice in therapeutic drug monitoring of lithium;
    3. Discuss the laboratory approaches to establish the optimal therapeutic ranges in older patient populations.
