Chair of the SIG on Quality Improvement through Quality Indicators of the CSCC, member of the WG-LEPS of the IFCC and Expert on the WG-PRE of the EFLM Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to explain and apply:
  1. Better understand the value of putting efforts in quality improvement for patients’ safety and be aware of key international initiatives.
  2. Improve their knowledge on the importance of quality and standardization in the preanalytical field with specific example from the WG-PRE of the EFLM.
  3. Be aware of Canadian initiatives in the pre-analytical and quality indicators field with specific examples applicable in our laboratories.
